Engineering Research offers you simulation based design of your
road side safety products.
Finite Element (FE) simulations are used to find a design with optimal
performance, which in turn can deliver savings in product risks,
cost and time spent on prototype testing.
Crash simulation can be applied to all types of roadside products, e.g.
guardrails, bridge parapets and lighting columns.

- Bridge parapets
- Lighting columns
- Work zone barricades
- TMAs, etc
Visualisation of crash scenarios
- Visualisation of crash performance
- Visualisation of reconstructed accidents

of a project funded by the Swedish Road Administration
Success stories
- Bridge parapet
- Lighting columns
Engineering Research has been using FE simulations in
the design of road side safety products since 1994,
and we were pioneers in using FE simulation of the EN1317 tests 1996.
We have since then been involved in the design of more than 70 different roadside safety products in
cooperation with most Nordic developers.
